How to clean sewage backup in bathtub?

This home flooded with category 3 waters due to a storm. We were able to extract all the water from the hardwood floors and carpets, and apply an antimicrobial agent twice to avoid mold growth.

If your bathtub is experiencing sewer backup, handling the aftermath can be difficult and potentially dangerous. There are a few key things to keep in mind for your safety and the safety of others.

Turn off any running water immediately. This applies to any fixtures that lead to your drainage system (for example, sinks and washing machines). Stop flushing any toilets in the building until the backup is resolved.
For added protection, turn off your water supply via the main shutoff valve.
You may be able to snake the bathtub drain and clear out the clog.

If the backup is especially severe, contact us for professional assistance.
